In the 1990s, many Pintupi Luritja people of the Western Desert faced the heartbreak of leaving their homeland for life-saving dialysis, separated from family, culture and Country. Determined to change this, the community came together, and in 2000, an auction of Papunya Tula Artists’ works raised over NULL million. This led to the founding of Purple House. Through the power of art and community, Purple House continues to heal and empower.
